Green Bay Weather Forecast Reminiscent of Ice Bowl

The 8-7-1 Green Bay Packers will host the 12-4 San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in an NFC Wild Card game at 4:40 Eastern Time at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  Although the Forty-Niners are a slight favorite in this game, the editor of Shayn Roby’s Pro Gridiron Report would not be surprised to see a game that resembles the NFL Championship Game of 1967, commonly known as the “Ice Bowl”, given that weather forecasts are calling for temperatures in the neighborhood of six degrees Fahrenheit.  Perhaps the weather conditions could have Packer fans smiling into the evening this Sunday.

Shayn Roby’s Take: The frozen tundra of Lambeau field might not be as solid as it was in the NFL Championship Game in 1967 on Sunday, but it still might be a little crunchy as the weather will be a “balmy” (compared to 15 below of course) six degrees Fahrenheit.
